Hi, I’m Bethany.

I’m a professional photographer based in Los Angeles, where I live with my husband and our dog. Born in Seoul, South Korea, and raised mostly in San Diego, I’ve always been drawn to visual storytelling. After earning my BFA in Photography from the Academy of Art University, I spent several years between NYC and the Bay Area, honing my craft.

In the fall of 2006, I moved to LA and something clicked. I knew I wanted to take photography seriously as a business. I went fully freelance in the spring of 2009 and haven’t looked back since.

I photograph interiors, lifestyle, and branding imagery with a focus on honest, human storytelling. I love working with designers, creatives, and brands to create visuals that feel both elevated and lived-in. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with clients like Amazon Home, Brooklinen, Hilton, Netflix, Joybird, and Parachute Home—along with countless inspiring designers, boutique hotels, and editorial teams.

My work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, House Beautiful, Domino, The New York Times, T Magazine, and many others.

A few things I love (in no particular order): letterpress stationery, graphic design, Palm Springs, Aperol spritzes, ramen, Italian beaches, home-cooked meals, love letters, crime documentaries, and canyon hikes.
