Modern Farmhouse in Long Beach by bethany nauert

I recently photographed a home in Long Beach that went under a major construction remodel. The designer Daniella Carter, helped bring the homeowner's dream of a Modern Farmhouse to real life. What I loved most about this home is how spacious it felt, though it was really only about 1,100 square feet. They had a sizable backyard, huge family room and kitchen...and tons of natural light flooded the home. James (my assistant) and I literally both said "woah this is my dream house" when we walked in. Enjoy!

Mood boards for Dunn Edwards by bethany nauert

Dunn Edwards Paint is one of my most favorite clients to work with, specifically their color analyst Sara McLean, who heads the Specs and Spaces Trends Report for their blog every year. Over the past few years I've enjoyed contributing photos and have been commissioned on several fun projects.

What I'm sharing here are mood / conceptual boards for Trends 2017. We shot these in Winter of 2015 with the help of my talented friend Kristen Hettich. These mood boards represented interiors and lifestyle shots we later on photographed in Spring of 2016.

Hotel Lautner Palm Springs by bethany nauert

Just wanted to share some photos from March 2015 that were taken for and published in Palm Spring Style Magazine. Katy Carrier (founder and lead editor of PSS) sent me to photograph the famous Lautner Hotel. Holy smokes is this place legit! Designed by Tracy Beckmann, this four suite compound embodies the era it was designed for. Adding some modern touches, the decor remains true to Mid Century flare.

One Room Challenge + Erica Reitman by bethany nauert

Seriously, when I get to photograph a well designed space it just lights up my day. When it's space I could totally imagine myself living in...its even better. Erica Reitman is a design bad ass, some of you may know her by way of Instagram...but more importantly her know how on We've shot several posts together and she always has me involved in really fun projects. She participated in the annual One Room Challenge and basically got all the furniture and accessories sponsored for this guest house makeover. I wanna move in... or at least rent it on Air BnB for the weekend.
